The FRN assists with the coalition, and our goal is to bring together community members and organizations to address substance abuse in a comprehensive way.

Transportation Committee
The FRN has played a crucial role in helping to develop a committee and working closely with its members to secure transportation in our area. Through our collective efforts, we are working with 5 area counties to bring public transportation to our area.

Necessities Closet
We set up a table monthly at the Sistersville United Methodist Church and give out free cleaning products, hygiene products, clothing, socks, and shoes at times, as well as three to four door prizes.

Healthy Grand-families Program
The FRN works together with the WVU Tyler County Extension Services to provide a program called Healthy Grandfamilies. This program is for grandparents raising grandchildren or for Kinship care. We meet monthly and provide speakers on a variety of topics, as well as provide a lunch. This program is sponsored by WV State University.

CSFP Food Boxes
The FRN, in collaboration with the Mountaineer Food Bank, distributes 60 food boxes to seniors aged 60 and older (based on their income) in two locations in Tyler County once a month.

Mountaineer Food Bank
The FRN provides mobile food pantries in Sistersville, WV 3 times per year. The Senior Center in Middlebourne provides the mobile pantry at their location 3 times a year, too.

Summer Feeding Project
The FRN ran a project that helped feed Tyler County children throughout the summer months. The project continues to run as a collaboration with Tyler County Schools.

Tyler County Resource Guides
A yearly resource guide is developed and distributed to families residing in Tyler County.

Back to School Fair
All Tyler County elementary, middle, and high school students are invited to attend the free event in which vendors educate the public about the services they offer and become more acquainted with families. In addition, all students receive a backpack as well as school supplies; they may also attend free screenings (dental & vision) and receive a haircut. The program is possible with the support of Tyler County Board of Education, vendors, community members, businesses, churches, teachers, students, and volunteers.

Little Free Pantry
The FRN, as well as other community members, saw this as a way to help families in the Middlebourne area. The pantry was constructed by a class at Tyler Consolidated. Permission was given to use the Board of Education property to house it. The pantry consists of canned goods, dry goods, and other products donated by the community.
